There's an acting audition for every actress and every actor. This includes every kind of production and medium. Productions from all parts of the country come to shoot in remote, rural towns, holding an acting audition wherever they are, if the main industry is dairy, corn, or maple syrup. They want people from the area to give their project that "local flavor". This gives people the opportunity to see how movies are made and participate in the production of a film, regardless of their regular occupations, if only for a short time.
